In this blog (and its linked pages on Instagram and Facebook) I dedicate time and some effort to share chronicles, stories, photographs and videos of this project / adventure. However, the main motivation is that I enjoy doing it, at the same time that I learn and give greater meaning to this trip, transcending the personal. I believe that traveling with this tool, I also contribute a little to making knowledge less and less for every day and more for many, reaching new corners of the planet. While traveling, I met people with grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren, and who also never had the chance to get away more than a few kilometers from the village, town or city where they lived all their lives. In Latin America, traveling is still a privilege of a minority. And so it turns out that I often meet these people. Many times the curiosity of the people gets so excited with some stories of the trips and where I come from, that I am convinced that what I am talking about in these lines is real and important, without being the only one who travels and learns.
My trips are independent and self-supporting. I need very little money. Generally, just to cook and make some arrangements on my bike (below you can see a table of my expenses) . Little amount allows me a lot. And it is part of what generates the time and content to share on this website. So far, to get that money I have done many types of temporary jobs during my travels. I have already sold food made by me on the street and on the beaches, I worked as a waiter, as a photographer, as a cook, as a bartender, as a hostel receptionist, as a cleaning staff, and I even carry an album of photographs that I sell collaboratively as small handicrafts. In short, there are many ways to generate that small amount. And these works that I carry out while I travel have helped and taught me a lot, allowing me to meet people and live enriching experiences. However, they also take away a lot of time and opportunities to focus and link directly to the main reason for this project, the content of this blog and continue pedaling. Leaving the trip at times in an inevitable STOP situation.
